South Florida Attractions

South Florida, which is synonymous with the Gold Coast, encompasses a three-county area of the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Florida: Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. The principal cities include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, where Miami is the economic engine of Florida and considered the gateway to the Americas. South Florida is a very diverse community with much of the population coming from all over Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Canada, and Asia. There is also a notable difference in the culture of South Florida and the rest of Florida, as it tends to be more of a multicultural mosaic than a melting pot. South Florida is made up of numerous unique neighborhoods within it's cities, which provide the region with many world class events and festivals. That, along with being the only area in the 48 contiguous states that has a "tropical climate", plus the fact South Florida was ranked one of the cleanest places on Earth by Forbes magazine means it is a great place to live, work and play.
